How to Take Backup of Google Photos 💾

Overview

Google Photos has been a free storage for many users worldwide for all of their photos on their phone.

I used to dump all of my photos to it and simply clean up my phone, then access them from anywhere at any time via the Google Photos cloud. I liked Google Photos, but I'm not sure why Google is discontinuing the product and its support. Since Google Photos' unlimited photo service ended on June 1, 2021. It's time to back up your photos to your local drive.

Here's how to do it step by step:

  • 1.Navigate to this URL:

    Google Takeout

  • 2.Make sure you are logged in to your Google account.
  • 3.De-select all products
  • 4.Select Google photos
  • 5.Select option “All photo albums included”
  • 6.Select all photos which you need to download
  • 7.Scroll down and click Next step
  • 8.Select the option to export and click Create export
  • 9.Google will notify you once your archive is ready to download.

Share the tutorial with your friends and family, who are still confused about this process.
